How to Run a Discord Giveaway with Fibra

Giveaways are one of the best ways to bring a server to life, reward regulars and celebrate milestones. Fibra runs the whole thing for you: it posts the giveaway, collects entries, picks winners at random when time's up and announces them.

Creating a giveaway

   Open Giveaways on the dashboard

   Go to the dashboard, choose your server and open Giveaways.

   Describe the prize

   Enter what you're giving away, for example Discord Nitro (1 month).

   Set winners and duration

   Choose how many winners and how long the giveaway runs, from minutes up to 30 days.

   Add details (optional)

   Use the description for requirements, sponsor info or anything else entrants should know.

   Pick a channel and start

   Fibra posts the giveaway and the countdown begins.

How members enter

Members click the Enter button on the giveaway message. Fibra confirms their entry and makes sure nobody can enter twice. When the timer ends, it picks the winners at random and announces them in the same channel.

Managing running giveaways

• See everything at a glance: active and finished giveaways, how long is left and how many people entered.
• End early if you want to draw the winners now.
• Reroll a finished giveaway to pick a new winner, for example if someone doesn't claim their prize.
• Edit or delete giveaways you no longer need.

Tips for great giveaways

• Ping the right people. Pair giveaways with a role panel so members can opt in to a giveaway ping role.
• Be clear about requirements in the description, and how winners should claim.
• Give winners a deadline to claim, then reroll if they don't.
• Keep it regular. A small weekly giveaway often beats one huge one.
